Default Electric Cutout

I'm waiting for my electric cutout to get here in the mail. I was wondering if anybody else had one. I'm planning on putting the switch next to the cupholder into that little pocket. What would be a good place to run the 12v power? Thanks.

Cutout that I'll be welding onto the testpipe which will make the car run open header on demand while still keeping the stock or aftermarket exhaust for the noise sake. Press of a button will open/close the cutout.

I just popped off the center console but didn't really see an easy way to run the wire for the switch? Any other places I could run it coming from the testpipe area to wherever in the cockpit?

Might have to run the wire up to the engine bay under the car, then through the firewall. Or you can always just drill a small hole somewhere as a last resort, just make sure that you seal and water proof it so it doesn't rust.

Is there any benefit to this? Wouldn't a test pipe and a decent exhaust be easier and get the same result?

I'm thinking about getting a cutout also, but I'm wondering if there is a difference in sound between the cutout and just straight open exhaust. It seems like the butterfly valve or the fact that some air might still flow through the main exhaust pipe would give a different sound. I opened my exhaust up behind the cat for just a day a while back and it sounded great, but it is to loud to drive around like that all the time.
