The End of The S?
Don't always believe what dealerships tell you, you will find that most of the time you know more then they do. Take for example all of local BMW dealerships that swore to me that 2005 was the last year for the E46 M3 and that I should place an order before they could stop ordering them in late May (last year), and low and behold there are plenty of 2006 M3's on the road.

Xviper, I have another posting from Feb. 2001 that you can add to your list of rumors.

I also don't think that Honda would add DBW to the model only to terminate its production at the end of the year.

You're a great sport for bringing this back. Most guys would be too embarassed.

The HP changes were due to changes in the rating system, or something like that.
which you will find is usually the case. When I test drove my 2005 model, I told them that I had already owned an S2000 before and not to try and
me. The sales lady was cool and admitted she knew next to nothing about the car and it was in fact her first time taking one out for a test drive (the sales person had to drive the car out of the lot). So I spent the time to teach her as much as I could so she could better serve an uninformed S2000 buyer.As for the limited appeal of the S, that is what brought me to the car. It was as close to the old roadsters as you can get with a new car and that's why I have owned 2. If they change it up to suit a mass market, I'm sure myself and many other car enthusiasts will move on elsewhere (unless there is a bare bones version offered of course
)
