Sounds like what happened to me at 600 miles, although I never shut mine off when it started sputtering and the engine light came on, just drove it right to the dealer. It was a bad ignition coil.

Similair thing happened in a freinds car (not an s2k) but it turned out to be a fuel relay. Get Honda to fix it and throw in some frees tuff for your inconvience. Mike

Given the description of the failure and symptoms, it is fairly clear that the failure is almost certainly of an electrical nature and does not involve the engine's internal mechanicals. Hopefully, by now the car has been towed to the safe haven of a Honda dealer, and it will be back on the road soon. My personal guess is that it is either an open or short circuit in the spark generating area, or a fuel pump failure. Best of luck.

I really doubt that it's the alternator,
I want to guess that it's the fuel pump.

From what I just read, could be that ignition coil problem.

When i had MY00, i installed those ricer led washer lights.. ok.. don't make fun. but anyway, i tapped those into the battery section, into the fuse box. In doing that, i unscrewed the fuse connector, and didn't tighten it back up. Nothing happened for a few days, until i guess the screw got loose, and it started shaking around. The car would shut off on me, because of lack of power, and come back on. I was in the process of driving it to the dealership when it totally stopped on me. I called the tow company, and while in the process of waiting for them, i guess the connection was good, and i started her back up. I drove the car directly to the dealer and they had it for about 2 days, before coming up with that reason.

after they told me, i had to play dumb as to why the fuse box was loose.

So.. the question to you is this.. have you installed ricer led lights?? hehe...

check and make sure the battery connection is good.

You guys have seen at least one Herbie movie, right?
Love Bug, Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo, Herbie Goes Bananas, Herbie Rides Again.

Maybe his car is like Herbie and is just having some fun. Seriously.

My bet is that it's the alternator. My alternator went and right before it went I had been driving for 2 hours on the highway. When I got off and came up to the first few lights my engine started to sputter but then would catch itself. At about the third light as soon as I put it into neutral all my warning lights started to flash and then the engine died. The car tried to turn over and then all it would do is click. The dealer fixed it under warranty and they also changed the battery. They only had the car for about 6 hours. Good luck.

They're telling me something is wrong with the connecting rods. I smell something fishy at that dealership so I'm going to take it somewhere else to get it looked at. Also, they say that the dealer wasn't going to cover it under warranty.

[QUOTE]A black s2000 happened to stop right behind me and tried helping but he said that he never seen anything like this before. He said the fuel might have been cut off and to give it 5 minutes. Well, this all happened almost 2 hours ago and now I don't know what to do. Anyone have any advice? Please...
Btw, I checked the fuses for the fuel and startup and they were fine.
