Default Engine code

Here is my engine code F20C11201346... guess that means its AP1-120.
I bot this 2nd hand and it was first registered on dec 00, wondering if that makes it a 00 or 01?
Anyone knows how to read this?

Your VIN number will tell you what model year it is.
Dec 00 could still be model year 2001.

Not sure... could be US specific... so let's see if I can find it. As long as someone tells me where to look.

Look at the 10th digit on your VIN. You can find the VIN on the sticker that is located on the driver side door.

Y=1999
0=2000
1=2001
2=2002
3=2003
4=2004
5=2005
6=2006
7=2007

In EU cars the VIN plate is not in the door well area, but on top of the radiator cross bar and for all S2000s it is also stamped into the firewall on the right side in the engine compartment (right side behind the engine below the window wipers area).

In your case you should look for the letter in front of the T

JHMAP1xxx#Txxxxxx

The list will give you the official model year.

Take care,

Siepel

Look at your CD player. If it doesn't have a clock, it's a 00. If it has a clock, it's an 01.
