Default engine swap

Hi i'm sure this has been asked before but i'm looking at doing an engine swap. Up here in Washington it snows a lot so i was looking at swapping a k20 in and converting it to fwd so it will be better in the snow. I really want to be able to drive this next winter because i just bought this car and i love it! I've never even ridden in a car so fast! I figure the k20 swap would be the best as it is capable of more power and i will be able to drive the car in the winter since it will be fwd. Win win!!! If you or anyone who has done this swap before could help that would be awesome!

Best regards,

Carl Freeman

I really don't see why I would be losing the fun of the car. I would be getting a better motor and be able to drive it in the winter. I don't want a civic because i want a convertible.

No just simply asking a question. I'm sure someone has done this before.

A k swap has been done before but it was kept rear wheel drive. It would be absolutely retarded to change the S to front wheel drive. There is a reason why every true sports car is rear wheel drive(with the exception of a few all wheel drive ones)

K20 into an S2k? Id've gone K24 or 20/24 hybrid, but ok. FWD though? You're going to have to re-engineer the whole front suspension and subframe, not to mention installing a custom shift linkage. That's 5 seconds of thinking off the top of my head, so there's going to almost certainly be things I didn't think of. For electrical work, there is a member on here who was very successful swapping a k series motor into his car, and the process has been documented on this site and others. Bad weather or not, I'd keep the S RWD. Buy an extra set of stock wheels, slap some winter tires on them, keep your right foot in check, and call it a day. That right there will probably save you at least 10,000 dollars, plus some gas money in the winter from taking it easy. Also....obligatory:
