Default Engine Temp 7 Bars

Hi,

I have been trying to research whether 7 bars on the temperature gauge is normal. I have done a search on average engine temperatures but the readings where all either in fahrenheit or celsius. Can somebody post their average temperature readings in bars rather than in fahrenheit or celsius.

Info would really be much appreciated.

As far as I know, three bars is the correct or "average" temp, what the car should be at. I have a 2000 s2k but I think it is the same for all.

i believe 3 bars is equivalent to theMY00-03, while the MY04-05 have 7 bars. correct me if i am wrong.

and i believe that 7 is about normal cause that's what i get. it's that high because of our high compression engines.

I think 7 or is it 8 bars (about 11:30 on the dial) is correct on the AP2 ... three bars is for the AP1.

Cool

it is probaly just a different scale not because of your compression ratio. too funny

Thank god. A have seen a number of posts regarding their car having only 3 bars (AP1) and I was beginning to believe that this was the average. I feel relieved that AP2 have an average of 7 bars.

7 bars is a perfectly normal operating temperature indication with the MY04 and MY05 gauges, even with the F20C2 engine in it
