He put up a new video. It looks like it has 100k and some fairly typical issues (burns a touch of oil, TCT is noisy). Otherwise the car is sharp. I hope he does some detailed explanations on the motor and dynos the car for before/after.

I'd like a WRX, STI, or even a FRS as a daily driver. Heck, my wife's 4-door Legacy 3.5R is very nice, especially with the EyeSight cruise control. The S2000 is my summer, open, fun car but as we all know is pretty useless other than that!

The Engineering Explained videos (there seem to be hundreds) are entertaining and -- I assume -- creditable.

Does anyone know if this guy has joined our forums already?

I definitely enjoy his videos... he is a good addition to the S2ki community, if he so chooses.

Thanks.

Eh. I don't get the hype around the kid's videos, the one I watched (months ago) had me banging my head against my desk the entire time with misinformation/half truths.

It was something about suspension geometry/wheel sizing/etc., I don't remember exactly.

Is this the same guy that put out a vid saying you shouldn't let the e-brake ratchet up only to debunk it in a later vid?

Yeah, what was I thinking? The S2000 is a much sharper and more connected experience. But i would still love to have an Sti as my main ride.
I just think of WRX's as 4 door AWD Civics. They sound nice and the older ones look nice, but that's about it for me.

Personally I would love to have an STi , and I think it is a nicer ride than an S2000. Having one of each car would be the ultimate for me though.
Did this. I wanted a track car. I bought a 2009 STI in 2009. I sold it 13 months later after 3 track days.

I bought an S2000 in 2010 and have not looked back. I have 40-50 track days on my S2k now.
