How do you know it wasn't laser? And the solo is probably one of the worst detectors in the Escort lineup. The reason its able to use AAs is because the antennae is much weaker.

 

I am running for President in 2012. One of my platforms is that if the purpose of police is to deter crime, they should be highly visible at all times. So when I am elected all police cars will be painted hot pink so they are highly visible. The only exception will be undercover police, but they will not be able to write tickets for traffic violations.

 

 

In hawai'i the police have blue LED's at the end of each of their top lights. It pretty much makes them unmistakable and unmissable. While I was there I kinda wondered how anyone got a speeding ticket

 

The V1 has Laser detection...but usually when you are hit with a laser its game over...unless you are traveling in a group of cars and the cop lasers someone in front or next to you and the V1 picks up the deflected laser beam can you be saved.
