Thumbs up EU Spec MY04-5 F20C Engine

Do you know if Honda made any differences regarding the gear box ratios and the final gear differential ratio in the MY04 or MY05 ??
I am talking only for European or Japan cars that still equipped with the 2.0L (F20C) engine.

Thanks

they changed the final dif ratio from 4,1:1 to 4,76:1, thats why the new model has a better accelaration in 4th, 5th and 6th gear.

Where did you get this information from?

Here is some facts.

JDM MY05 Transmissions Gear Ratios:
1st gear 3.133
2nd gear 2.045
3rd gear 1.481
4th gear 1.161
5th gear 0.970
6th gear 0.810
Reverse 2.800
Primary Gear Reduction 1.160
Final Drive Ratio 4.100

USDM MY05 Transmissions Gear Ratios: (2.2L)
1st gear 3.133
2nd gear 2.045
3rd gear 1.481
4th gear 1.161
5th gear 0.942
6th gear 0.763
Reverse 2.800
Primary Gear Reduction 1.208
Final Drive Ratio 4.100

USDM MY03 Transmissions Gear Ratios: (2.0L)
1st gear 3.133
2nd gear 2.045
3rd gear 1.481
4th gear 1.161
5th gear 0.971
6th gear 0.811
Reverse 2.800
Primary Gear Reduction 1.160
Final Drive Ratio 4.10

USDM MY03 Spec source = Honda Press Web Site (www.hondanews.com)
USDM MY05 Spec source = Honda Press Web Site (www.hondanews.com)
JDM MY05 Spec source = Honda Press Web Site (www.honda.co.jp)

As you can see, they changed nothing. All 2.0L cars have the same transmission gearing and all 2.2L cars have the same gearing. The rear gear is and has always been 4.10.

They get some of the changes to the transmission (ex: carbon fibre synchros), but the ratios remain the same as was stated already.

No, or atleast that is what has been posted on that topic. I don't think anyone has actually tried.
