Euro vs US/JDM S2k
Hi Guys
Got a question that I couldn’t find an answer for in any other posts.
I live in Europe, and as you know all S2k´s intended for the European marked was F20C powered throughout the full production run. Therefore European cars are all classified as AP1.
I drive a 2006 – AP1 with DBW and VSA.
My question is this:
How, much of the car/ how many of the parts are the same as a US/JDM AP2?
Does my car have a clutch delay valve and the heavy flywheel for example?
I have only been able to find a US repair manual online, and therefore toque specs and other data are hard to figure out, with my car being an 06 F20C (and the manual only talks about the F22C in that model year)
Thanks in advance.

This question is better asked in the European sub forum.
As far as I know, the majority of things is exactly the same between between region for cars of the same year, except of course they are using a different block (F20/F22).

To my limited knowledge, most of the mechaical part is the same, except the 2.2 Liter engine for the USA.
Most difference is in electric details, caused by different laws and regulations. Euro cars have automatic beam adjusters for the headlights, for example.
If you are in doubt, just visit some online spare part dealers and compare the part numbers.

If anyone has a link or list of the differences I'd welcome it merely from curiosity. That @Aholck 's car has VSA makes sense as it's DBW but I'd not seen this confirmed outside US/CDA. I'm assuming his car is LHD.

All reliability/safety/comfort updates were applied to both the Euro AP1 and the North American AP2. So, your Euro '06 car should have:
- Drive by wire, VSA, etc.
- Carbon synchros in transmission
- AP2 suspension (shocks/springs, wheels/tires, rear subframe)
- Interior/exterior cosmetic/convenience updates
However, AP1-specific "performance" (or, perhaps, "configuration"?) items were preserved, so your car Euro '06 car should also have:
- F20C engine
- AP1 gear ratios
- AP1 flywheel
- AP1 clutch delay valve
Hope this helps. Let us know if you discover something different.

-- the closest the USDM cars got to this seat color was a lighter Tan and only a few (less than 2000) in Grand Prix White body cars 2003 - 2005. My car is is very special Boring Black.
The black wheels are, of course, not OEM color and this style wheel occurred only in 2014 and 2015 in the USDM cars. Termed "AP2V1" wheels; spokes are wider at the hub than at the rim. "AP2V2" wheels came on 2006-2007 and the spokes are wider at the rim than at the hub. And 2008+ wheels are the wide 5 spoke AP2V3 design.
BTW: The photo indicates your roof isn't fully retracted. Happens to all our cars. This is due to a pair of elastic straps inside the roof (on the ceiling when the roof is up) are stretched out. Simple repair but needed so the roof folds properly and doesn't stress the fabric on the frame.
