Someone is stealing my pictures for the promotion of rota ssr sp1 knockoffs, can they steal my pictures for the use of promting sales? I asked them to remove it, but however probably wont be removed. Just more appalled about the whole situation of using my car promote the sale of knockoffs when mine are real.

Website in question

Threaten legal action. That is basically all you can do short of hacking the website.

I remember there was a huge fight over some pictures on another message board that I was visiting. The person who took the pictures threatened legal action to no avail. Later, the person who stole the pictures got a letter from the lawyer leading to the picures being taken down.

Can you prove that those pictures were taken by you?

If you took the picture, and it's your car you definately own the rights to that picture.

Check out some of the photography web sites (www.fredmiranda.com).

Even in the case of a wedding photographer who is paid to take the photographs, he still owns the rights to the originals. They are his works. The bride and groom are simply buying the prints of his works. If said bride and groom were to take those prints to Kinkos and have them reproduced, they would be in violation of the photographers copyrights.

Looks like they removed your pic. Rota sure makes a lot of knock offs but they look pretty good for a copy.
