Are you kidding me? I would have sped up to him as fast as VTEC allows, then cut his A$$ off, and jam on my brakes. I'd get him to come to a complete stop, then pull him and his white trash friends out of the car and make it so theirs mothers wouldn't recognize them......

Sorry... That just hit a sore spot with me. Maybe it's because they have no value for others property (like you said, swearing is one thing) or maybe it's because I spent so much time detailing, and waxing my car.
I know exactly what you mean. I fully thought about cutting him off and stomping on the brakes but it would have probably backfired.

Ironically an Oldmobile Intrigue is my winter beater car for the moment and they are absolute dogs when it comes to braking. Probably because they're noticably heavier then a camry or accord. Anyways I knew that if I stopped in front of him he's would have rear ended me. The whole time we were yelling at them I was trying to get them to stop.

I actually had a friend in another car following us at the time so it was 3 of us. All I wanted to do was to get them to stop and soften them up a bit. I would have paid money for the look on their faces when my friend caught up in the other car and they realized that it was 3 on 4 instead of 2 on 4.

Oh well. I think they're just angry because they keep failing their GEDs.

Just yesterday I'm sitting at the light with the top down. The passenger of this car next to me (Cutlas Sierra with primer fender) yells, "Go 'head hommie, light it up. Go 'head, it's okay, light up the tires." I show a little self restraint and slowly pull away from the light. About halfway down the block a cop pulls out of a restaurant driveway. I glad I wasn't feelin it, I would've ended up with a ticket.

A few weeks ago I'm a this light and there are these two girls next to me in a left hand turn lane. I'm stopped about a nose ahead of them so I would have to turn my head around to see them. I hear the passenger window crack open and the passenger yells, "hey!" These girls were like 17 years old, maybe 18 at best so I look over my shoulder, give them a smile and then back to looking forward waiting for the light. So their left turn light goes green first and as they drive away the driver gives me a dirty looks and shouts, "jerk." I guess they were offended that I didn't try to pickup on them or something.

Also a few weeks back I'm at Barnes and Noble, I park and head for the door, this guy and his wife are right behind me so I hold the door for them. The guys says, "Nice car, my wife would go home with you in that thing." I was like "umm thank you." Crazy thing was all the wife did was look at me and smile.

I've only had my S since Sept but I have so many of these kinds of stories.

I, too, have a similar story....

A couple weeks back, I pulled into a Borders book store parking lot. I had come to a complete stop to let a man (about 40ish, driving a black dodge intrepid) pull out of a parking aisle. I politely wave him out (he was waiting for traffic to clear so that he could pull out) so that I could pull into the aisle, then park. After I wave him out, this guy spazzes out in his car (flailing his arms, air masterbation then flipping me off). All of which happened in approx. 20 seconds or so. I was stunned, so all he got back was a from myself and my wife.

I, too, get the evil stares from my elderly neighbors despite the fact I obey the speed limit in my neighborhood.

The flip side, is the numerous compliments and drooling faces I encounter

It's nice knowing this seems to happen to everyone...

A little OT, but I never realized how much attention the car would garnish either... At least once a week I get a random person that says "hey nice car", driving and stopped. 9/10 when I do a little pull with someone on the street, I get a huge thumbs up or "that thing is sick". There's no happy medium with the S, it's either really good attention or really bad attention.

Psychologically it's interesting... I've always driven semi-aggresively, but I'd like to think I'm a fairly good / safe driver. In my 1.8T Jetta I NEVER had anyone say nice car, and I got flipped off and evil looks all the time. In the S, people get out of the way, smile, wave, etc... It's almost as if they're ok with someone driving fast in a sports car, it's just a given. I wonder how the world treats STi / Evo drivers since they're more like sedans?
I am sure you guys get lots of comments, but here in West LA it is a very average car when there are porsche's, sl55 amg's, 360's and every other luxury sports car on every block!

Saying that, i have had the guy at the magazine rack in brentwood say nice car

This past weekend someone was tailgating me so I pull into the Border's parking lot. I give them a WTF wave when the car coming in the other direction thought I was giving them the WTF wave and flips me off.

i got yelled at yesterday...he said i was driving too fast. 65 on a 55 road...i don't think it's that fast.

I down shifted and gunned it...didn't wanna see him next to me honking and screaming. I had my top down.

This is what I get for driving the car first time in 2 months. I took it outta storage cuz it was so warm.

I live in the South Bay (about 20 miles south of WLA) also with Porsche's, Lambo's, Ferrari's, AMG's, Rolls, and still get the attention. I had a guy in a Porsche GT2 give me a rev, smile, and a thumbs up the other day.

Westside people are a little different though, not your typical LA people, most are "imports" (not from LA). This is not an insult so don't take it the wrong way, just trying to rationalize.

I was going up a very bumpy high rolling hill.
damn HID was jumping around and the guy in front of me in a honda crv pulls over. While i was passing him the ****er throws a beer bottle at me and luckily the bottle bounces off the top.
That was all it took to piss me off! no one touches my baby and gets away with it.
I pulled over reached into the trunk and grabbed my 6000lbs jack's bar and my boy grabbed the stock jack's small bar. At this time 3 guys jumped out of the crv.
I had really good reason why i was going to **** them up and no one was going to stop me.
2 guys started running at us while throwing beer bottles (about 4). I ended up catching 2 of them so it wouldn't hit my car. by the time they came up to us the idiots realised we had bars so they start running back. Bunch of ****in drunk teens and they couldn't even run let alone drive. so we chased them down and gave'em a nice beat down without pounding on their head. i'm sure i broke one guys finger. The other guy who stayed back seemed like a good kid who was just caught up with a bunch of morons so we didn't touch him. Then we pulled over by a pay phone and told the police about how there was a drunk driver in a crv and gave them the plates.
