A few months ago, our beloved cthree asked if anyone was willing to design a logo for s2000online, and, being a graphic designer and a logo maniac, I thought I could give it a try.
Especially since I considered the old logo awful (badly imitating the s2000 badge, coupled with this terrible red typeface with a dirty white outline... )
I did something which answered IMO the brief : more professional, cleaner, reminding the car (that digital rev counter thing).
C3 gave it a try last week, but after a few negative reactions, went back to the old logo...
I think it was not done the right way (on a white background, non-coordinating colors on the page...), and I also think if this must be decided in a democratic way, more people should express their opinion.

I know you must be tired of elections, but I'd just like to know if my taste is so far away from the general taste of s2k owners



or, for those who are afraid of minimalism (I also did an animated version of the 0's, where they start thin and then get thicker just as if you were pushing the throttle

 

Personally, I still like the current logo better.

 

I like the current one as well, The quaility of your new one is great, but it lacks something. Maybe the font is just too plain.

 

The old one is not broken, don't fix it! Seriously, I like the old one better.

I agree, the current logo is good.

Does anyone have the original image? I tried futzing with the existing logo, but it has been compressed too much.

i like the current one over those comps as well. not to dis your work. it just doesn't say stook to me.

i'll try designing some logos as well when i have time. i'll need it for the s2000online cards.

 

What about the sticker for our rides???
