Everyone read and please give ur 2cents input.
I think it's a good idea but I wouldn't want any rating system, rather a short list of those found to have wronged another member. As on Ebay, someone with a low rating is almost always assumed to be a scammer on the prowl and in many cases, it's simply a case of them not having much to sell or buy. A thumbs down list with a link to the appropriate thread that explains the reason for that person being there would be fine for me. If someone isn't on that list, I'll assume they are stand up forum members and proceed accordingly.
maybe we do one where you can be a register seller. Even if it was a private sale. Something like how they have on ebay. and after the trasnaction, you rate the other user, and it goes under your user name.
So it will say you are a owner, your s2ki age, your PPD average
and best of all, buyer/seller rating...
It might be too hard for the moderators and owner to develop something like that, but that is worth a shot...

JMO, but I think it would have to be a forum just like all the other forums. You would need input other than just yes/no votes. If there were any kind of rating system or complex grading program it would be too much work for the moderators. Threads will probably get out of hand. Others may turn into lovefests. But, you have to take the good with the bad.
I would think that those worried about having their "good name" slandered would have to make a special effort to provide good service to avoid any negative feedback. Conversely, those who find it necessary to give negative feedback when it is not warranted may end up with "negative buying feedback". I know that if I am dealing with a buyer with negative feedback, his price is much higher than someone with positive feedback.
If this can be worked out, I am all for it!
