has the best construction, is the most tolerable (soundwise), and gives the most gains?

I have a Super Sprint, excellent construction and fit, very tolerable in terms of noise but no gains IMHO. Slightly better throttle response at best. I really like it. Expensive.

Take a look at Spugen. I ordered one, and now have to wait to install it. The price is very fair. I am pretty sure your "butt" dyno will not tell a difference between any of the exhausts you buy. I know you will notice a difference in sound, and depending on which one you buy, it might look better than the stock exhaust. Duc (pronounced Duke) is a stand-up kinda guy. Very professional as a business person.

I have the J's and you def. do not want it if you are looking for something tolerable. The throttles response seems to be better now, although it is probablly a placebo effect from all the noise

Well, I just installed the exhaust (dual canister with oval tips) with my neighbor and I must say that I am quite impressed with the looks and the sound. My biggest fear was that it would sound too loud. It has a nice deep tone that isn't bad at all. My neighbors are VW guys and they were very impressed with the sound, making the comment of "it doesn't sound like all the Civics running round here...". The install was truly "bolt on" and we installed it in about an hour. Had some penetrating oil to loosen the bolts off the cat, and from that point on, it was a piece of cake. Only had two issues; 1- the box had a very big nice hole in it thanks the wonderful guys at UPS, and one of the canisters had a large scratch on it, but you can't see it, so I really can't complain too much; 2- Taking it to a muffler shop to have the hangers bent so it sits centered like the stock exhaust. The gap difference between the two isn't to noticeable, just don't want the valance melting. Duc was very easy to deal with, sent me a PM when it was shipped with the tracking #, and the best thing is he shipped it Tues and I received it today. (Wed) I guess being next door is the most likely reason, but to have it next day......I am in no way a professional driver, and the "butt dyno" didn't feel the 4.5 - 5.5 hp gain, but the oval tips look killer, it sounds very nice, the price was very reasonable compared to the others that are available, and again, Duc was very easy to deal with and made the buying experience from Spugen pleasureable. Now, if they (Spugen) can just get the dam header to work. I will definitely buy more Spugen products in the future, and for those on the "fence" on deciding to buy the Spugen stuff, I can honestly say you will not be disappointed. A big thumbs up Duc and the crew over at Spugen.

I haven't heard a Spugen. I put the Neuspeed on with the aluminum billet tips...looks great with sebring silver...still has the nicest sound i've heard very very well made exhaust. And contrary to a couple rumors around here. It performs very well on the dyno.
