Excellent customer service !
I have had good experiences with HTG too.
Jeff is a great guy and a real enthusiast, which really helps when trying to decide on what to buy.
Like any business, there can be growing pains, supplier problems, and other things that occur. However, with the great customer service HTG has, I am sure Jeff will take care of any problems that do arise. That is just the kind of guy he is.

Jeff doesn't work for Ganley Honda.
that's where he worked at the time.
I'm not saying Jeff's not a nice guy, I'm just saying that my experience was a very unhappy one. I bought an in-stock motor on the basis that it would arrive by a certain date in order for me to have it installed and tuned before a race. They had three weeks notice but instead of getting it shipped right out as promised, it sat around for nearly two weeks before being sent. As a result, it arrived a week late, and we missed the race. (There were also several key parts missing that had to be sent later) During the "waiting period" I called/emailed/pmed many times to make sure it had been shipped, and all went unanswered.
On a diff I purchased, there was a $1000 core charge. I happened to be driving through Ohio on a cross country trip, so I dropped the old one off at the dealership in person. Again, weeks of phone calls, emails, and pms went unanswered. I finally posted up something unflattering, and finally received my $1000 credit with the explanation that my 100lb diff in a huge blue plastic box was "misplaced."
I eventually received an apology, but the apology also contained a bill for an additional $65.
I paid the $65 and never did business with them again. (Much to the delight of my new supplier)If Jeff has moved to a new dealership, I wasn't aware of it. I don't doubt that most of you have had very good experiences. Most transactions are much simpler. Mine required follow up and some effort, and it didn't happen.

Just one experience; guess it proves everyone is human.
With some of the shitz I've been reading within the group buy forum;it is refreshing to have a company like Hardtopguy provide customer service that is top-shelf
When someone does an excellent job it's good to let the S2000 community know that there are still old fashion values being practiced everyday.

I bought a hardtop from Jeff (after he left Ganley). GREAT service. Drove out there on a Thur. night. He worked most of the night to install, AND gave me his new Ridgeline to drive while he worked on my car. He also spent extra time adjusting the window frames, checking for Shinitsu grease, and test driving to check for air leaks.
I think Jeff is the best. I will definitely give him first shot on any other parts I buy.

Here's my experience with Jeff...
A few months ago, Jeff hosted a "Tech-Day" for the Allegheny S2K Club at his home in Ohio. Several of us were interested in new 4,56 gears. However, some of us wanted to keep our diffs. We made arrangements with Jeff to drop our cars off a week before our scheduled "Tech-Day". This allowed him time to install the new gears in our diffs. He assured us our cars would be finished by "Tech-Day". As if that wasn't service enough, he also loaned us his new Ridgeline to return home to PA.
The following week, we made the trek back to Ohio to pick up our cars. Not only did Jeff have our cars finished (as promised), but he was able to do a few valve adjustments, tire changes, trunk spring removals and other misc. work on the cars that arrived for "Tech-Day". Believe it or not...he still found time to host a cookout for us.
I am sorry to hear about your experience with hardtopguy. As far as the Allegheny Club and I are concerned...our experience could not have been better!
