You want loud, or quiet? Do you care about power gains/weight savings, or just sound?

I'm looking for something with a deep throaty tone. Weight and power is important but more importantly something that sounds sexy.

I've heard T1r 63 mm is one of the best bang for the buck.

HKS exhaust. Falls under your budget. Nice deep sound. Not too loud like Invidia. Minimal drone too. Most people say HKS sounds better with a TP. I havent tried it though.

IMO for $20 dollars remove your resonator from your stock exhaust first.
Makes it sound much nicer. If you don't like it, you're only out $20 bucks.

But it a little more than he is looking to pay.

HKS, and Mugen both sound excellent, IMO. For power/weight, you want a single exit, but they're often loud/drony. J's 60RS is the most civilized sounding singles, and also one of the lightest, but they can be pricey. ~1400 new, IIRC, and still close to 1000 used.

If sound is your #1 priority, I'd check out HKS. Comptech sounds pretty nice too, but the company is now out of bussiness.

I think I just talked GHL into ressurecting their exhaust as a one off. It is by far the most high quality exhaust made on the market today and a favorite of Ferraris and Porsches.
