Which exhaust gives the most hp+? Sound isn't a big issue but hp is.

 

well, don't expect much hp gain from any of above...!!

2-3 hps top is what you can expect from all the exhaust system for S2000... so, now, how it sounds is the biggest issue to you then...

BTW, I won't pick any one that you listed above...
to me, Mugen for dual, Spoon for single... Amuse if you have money to burn (single or dual)

 

Depends what you want. Personally, I think single outlet exhausts are more beneficial, if you don't care about the looks. You might get a bit more HP out of a single than a dual, but you'll really benefit in weight savings (especially with a titanium exhaust). I run the Spoon N1 cat-back (single outlet). Weight savings is great and sound is awesome, but quite loud/boomy. Out of the ones you listed, the only single outlet is the A'pexi (N1), so I'd probably go with that one.

BTW, does GReddy make an exhaust system for the S2000?

Funny, I installed stock piping and 2 x 5Zigen Fireball Blast mufflers and gained 6-10Kw (8-13Hp) at the rear wheel (most in the midrange, least in the bottom and top range). I know that my dyno is a bit optimistic, (reports 18% loss from the flywheel to the wheel nuts - the wheels itself are removed, which is why it is more optimistic) but it's not THAT optimistic.. I've heard of people gaining up to 14Kw from cat back exhausts. They used a 2.5" inch mandrel bent exhaust.

I think the thing about the S2000 exhaust, is that it gains more from high velocity exhaust, than just raw exhaust flow. That is, unless of course, you've got a turbo. Then raw volume moved will be better.

That's why my engineer chose to stay with 2.25" piping and just put straight throughs on - to maintain high exahust velocity, but reduce restriction. I believe that a similar width pipe mandel bent on my car, will give me a touch more power, but not worth the money I am going to need to spend on it.

I agree. My Tanabe has delivered a lot more than 2 hp. My 1/4 mile times AND horsepower runs following install showed decreases in time and increases in delivered HP well beyond what 2 or 3 ponies could possibly deliver. I believe 6-7hp is more realistic...those #'s would back up why my S2K dropped .16 in the 1/4 following a series of runs that totaled more than 11 before I finally was satisfied the results were fair. It also weighs (now) 16-lbs less than the stock OEM cat-back. There probably are some systems that will only deliver 2-3hp on a dyno, but I believe the TRM isn't one of them.

 

Veilside....Light as hell, loud as hell, and pretty cheap too.
