Default exhaust discharge...

well i noticed right away that it is very difficult to keep the rear end of my car clean due to the excess amount of sut that builds up. i asked this before and many replied that it will stop when the car is well broken in. now with 4500miles i still find my car with a nice coat of sut after one drive. it gets pretty anoying, having a flawless wax job and a dirty lil but! do you guys with lighter colored s2ks notice this problem? is it gonna be like this for ever!!???

the car runs really rich from the factory, and believe me (prolene and many others can attest to this) when i say my exhaust pipes are DIRTY before i leaned it out a bit. now it's nice and clean.

If you do a lot of short journeys, you will tend to get this problem also.

I believe that most of the stuff on the rear of the car when it is new is tire dust. The S02's wear pretty rapidly when new but slow and so will the dirt on the rear of the car.

I have a silver car and have never noticed this soot. I do notice the sooty dribbles on the bottom edge of the exhaust tips. A pain in the ...................

I'm pretty sure this is what I see on mine, too. I know the exhaust tips get black but I'm pretty sure the residue all over the back of the car is tire dust because it starts at the rear fenders and is all over the sides and back.

I never noticed that much stuff on my exhaust until I put the SC on, now the pipes always have "sut" on the inside bottom edge.

I seem to get a lot of this "soot" all the time.

That's my opinion too. Also, if you use Zaino on a regular basis, you'll notice you'll get a lot less "stuff" on the sides and rear bumper; Zaino seems to have an amazing ability to repel tire dust and general road dirt (whereas other products don't).
