Nice. I've been thinking about HKS, looks good, sounds good. What made you pull the trigger on this particular exhaust? How did you get the car off the gound to install, jackstands or lift? If jackstands, was it a pita to do?

I had a 98 supercharged civic with greddy evo exhaust and damn, it was so loud after 30 min of driving I had a headache. I like the HKS because it's not insanely loud, but when you throttle down it really kicks in. I went to the hks site and fell in love when I saw the video.

I have a 4ton low profile craftsman jack. It fits to the diff jack point. I jacked it up and set jack stands under each rear side jack point and left the jack there also. I was able to get the old exhaust off and the new on with the jack and jack stands in place. It only took about 45 minutes. Honestly the hardest part was getting the 3 old cat bolts off. The key is to use a closed end wrench and a hammer (and of course WD40). If you pull it you might round it off (which isn't really a bad problem since the hks kit came with new nuts) so you bang the wrench with a hammer to break it lose. The hangers are a pain to get off, use WD40 on them also.

Installing the new exhaust was easy. The hangers seemed to just glide on. I hung the mufflers first, then bolted the part to the cat up, then bolted the mid piece in. You will need 2 people to install the new exhaust. The part that goes to the cat has a hanger and you really need someone to hold it while you hang it. Also the mid piece would be almost impossible without a 2nd person to hold it while you bolt it, it has no hanger.

Also something to note, when you first install it and start the car, it won't sound very loud. You gotta drive it for a few days to open it up.
