Default exhaust noise on light throttle

Hey guys, well around like 3500-4000 rpm I would guess i get a howl coming from the pipes. I have oem, just wondering if this is an issue at all. I figure its not, and it sounds kinda cool but just wanted to be sure. Its only when im very light on the throttle. Anyway if this is a stupid question feel free to let me know

LOL, WTF. If it sounds cool, then I guess you like it. Otherwise, get a different car if you don't like the loud exhaust or get one of those silencer. Didn't you test drive it before you bought it?

Out of curiosity, is this your first manual car?

it is a howl, or a rattle? You could have a loose heat shield somewhere, or a clutch buzz.

Describe the noise and exactly when you hear it.

lol dude your a douche bag.

Anyway nah its not the clutch buzz or anything like that. and its not by any means because the OEM exhaust is "loud".

Its just a howl no buzz or anything like that or rattle for that matter. Its just kind of like when you blow across a bottle and it makes that sort of fog horn sound . Maybe not the best example, anyway Im sure its not a problem and perfectly normal, just started noticing it lately wanted to make sure it wasnt something like some kinda exhaust leak or somethin. Anyway doesnt sound like one thats for sure.

Thanks Willie for trying to help and contributing to the forum and not being an idiot like that other guy

are you sure that it's coming out of the exhaust? Often when you get a whistle like the noise you are describing it's actually from the intake. Make sure that your intake cover is properly fastened.

With my cold air intake (CAI) my car sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

hmm you could have a point there. I was almost positive it was exhaust, now this may lead me to believe it could be my comptech CAI

I would put money on that. It's your Comptech intake for sure.

Trust me it's his first manual. He's like one of my friends. He get worried about the loud exhaust at mid-range RPM because he got used to the automatic.
