Default Exhaust note..has it changed?

My dealer showed me the Suzuka they are shipping to a Forum member in Texas (it is safely in a separate garage, BTW, and is not being driven). They did start it up and said that they thought the exhaust note had more "meat" to it, and no longer sounded like "a sewing machine on crack".

Any MY04 owners wish to comment?

I'm interested to find out too because the exhuast seems bo the the exact same unit as the older ones, except with the oval tips.

Well dealers say a lot of things.

I hope the exhaust note sounds like the FX45, 350Z, or the G35 sport coupe, basically they all sound the same and pleasing to the ear. To me the worst exhaust note is the CRX, lol you hear it rev high but it doesn't go anywhere

Four bangers will always have the exhuast notes of four bangers. People use farty exhuasts on Hondas to create what they call "deep" and "throaty" exhaust notes.

I can attest that it sounds somewhat more "low" but I can't say is VERY different. A little deeper sound. I can only say this about the lower revs since I have not heard it at the higher revs.

Regards...

BA...

Uhh... I just sat in an '04 Suzuka Blue at Gunn Honda in San Antonio, Texas. Was already sold to somebody with the last name of Thompson, I believe (the temp tags were already on it).

They let me start it, but I wasn't able to drive it, and I didn't even touch the gas pedal to rev it up or hear the exhaust. At idle it sounded about the same as mine, though.

Just got back from the dealer, and the first look at my 04 GT white, I have not heard any 03's but I thought the 04 sounded pretty nice. I didn't rev to hard as it only has 10mi. Trust me I will get back with a update. Pick it up Tuesday, they are putting on the rear wing and front underbody spoiler Would send pic's if I knew how.
