I just got my bone stock '00 and I am looking to put put exhaust on it for the few horses I can get out of it, but I don't want a fart-can/rice-rocket sound. What do you know about the tones of various systems, or possibly just swapping out the mufflers.

 

go for a spugen dual system, great sound nice and low.

I just installed (Saturday) a modified HKS dual cat back I bought off of jcarlton. The large resonator/sound/ airflow?? canister that would have spaned between the two mufflers was cut out and the subsequent holes welded shut and the sound is awesome. Deep throaty sound during lower revs (between 2.5k and 5k in each gear) and when the engine opens up it it quiets down and no drone during highway driving. I am very pleased with this setup

I've got an invidia on order should be here next week so once its bolted up i'll give you my $.02 Based purely on appearance id have to say invidia though the name plate is soo tuff, and there coming w/ ti tips now too
