Default Exhaust for under $1000

I'm planning to replace the stock exhaust and still doing research. For under $1000 budget, which exhaust can produce a nice and deep exhaust note? I will also have the AEM CAI installed, will that have any effect on the exhaust note? Any contributions are welcome. Pleast don't try to make any offer here, I will not buy any new or used parts from private party. Thank you.

Do a search you'll find lots of info and opinions. I'm probable going to go with the Invidia exhaust it sounds really nice, looks sweet, and cost about $650-700, plus I heard it again today at ludedudes farewell meet in NJ.
(thanx Mike)

my fav is on my car...
spugen dual ovals- great sound, really great looks and even some extra hps as a bonus!
- and an extra bonus for you- you can go visit the shop and see and hear their exhausts before you buy if you want (since you live in LA)!

hi wanabe, actually, i was planning going to the Spugen's shop in Whittier to check out the exhaust in person. however, i called them before i go, and they told me that they don't have anything in stock and thus have nothing to show me. they also told me that i have to place an order on the exhaust first and then make an appointment for installation. Since they said they have no show room or anything to show me, i didn't ask for any other details.

A Spoon exhaust can be found for under $800 new at some places.

I have one and love how it sounds. Very deep but very loud. without the test pipe installed. I don't get what the silencer is for either. Sounds the same to me.

I can honestly say the car handles a little differently and I now have a bigger gap above my rear tires.

Better throttle response too.

you can find quite a few Invidia and Spugen pics in this thread in the photo gall https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...25&pagenumber=1

Truthfully I've never talked to anyone who has bought either exhaust and been dissapointed.

If I were in your shoes I'd go Spugen. Spugen is a board sponser and just about anyone who has gotten an exhaust them has been very happy. The look, sound, and perform awesome. LVGPWhite just got his Spugen with Ti tips and brought the car over the other night and it's a great exhaust.

More pics, sounds, and dynos can be found on spugens site http://www.teamspugen.com/store.html

Good Luck
Karim

yeah the HKS Hi-power sounds amazing, too bad some people have reported that they actually lost HP with this exhaust.
