$7500 sounds good. All the parts? Buddy of mine's new-to-him S2000 AC just blew hot air. Examination under the hood showed the AC parts were not there, nor was cruise control. Not sure what else ain't there. Call it a project car. I'd rather drive the car than work on it -- one reason I didn't get a TR6.

My "wheel guy" feels the same way you and I do about the TPMS -- a PITA. He sounded relieved when I took my OEM wheels and new tires to him and confirmed there was no TPMS.

I'm happy wearing the diapers. Even the Formula 1 guys have DBW and traction/stability control -- unlike us "real drivers" 30 years ago.

i went all the way out to the sticks in Texas to get my GPW 06 ap2, and drove it back to CA. it had 69k miles at the time. it was clean and pretty well maintained, but like w/anything used, you can never be certain how it was treated by the previous owner.

as such, i changed all the fluids, incl oil, clutch, brake, tranny, and coolant. also swapped in new cabin and oil filters and had a valve adjustment done. the brakes, suspension, & tires were all still in good shape, but i can never leave anything alone, so i upgraded those too.

as others mentioned, at a minimum, i would have all the fluids changed, regardless of mileage. even an 09 would be 6 years old, and it's either pay now or pay a whole lot more later if something goes wrong. it's foolish to skimp on changing fluids and other preventative maintenance when getting one of these cars or any vehicle, in general.

oh, and imo, it's always best to get the newest model and year that you can afford. yes, ap1s are more raw, but that's inside & out. they look pretty dated, imo. it was an ap2 or nothing for me.

I would have been so pissed if that happened to me. but yes, all the parts in complete OEM form, besides a neuspeed front upper strut bar. Had a buddy (that's a tech) check it out with me to make sure everything was good. Only got it for so cheap, because the guy needed to quick sale it, as he put a downpayment on a new car and needed the rest of the money by time of pickup

TPMS are usually a pain, VSA can save your life. So I bought 06, its the last year for all major changes.
