F20C has a very unique engine sound
Especially if you're standing outside and listen to a s2000 slowly going by you. Im talking about how the engine sounds like it has "electrical components" built in the motor. I have never heard any other honda engine that sounds like the f20c(even at idle).
So why does the engine sound like this in the first place? What parts/system are responsible?
This is just a question of curiosity.
All opinions are welcome.

exactly, whiny/electrical/high-tech all perfectly describe the noise im talking about.
maybe it has to do with its timing chain design...well this is the only honda 4 cylinder engine that utilizes a timing chain without IVTEC(this is just the standard DOHC VTEC model).

I was just going to say that, Razor. I think the timing chain is a big difference... It gives the engine a "gear-y" sound that resonates.
I love it.
And when one goes by in full 9K scream... That's unmistakable.
