I've only gone 110, because if i get a ticket i won't be able to afford insurance. But a stock S2K can go about 145 or so, and a modified one with stock gearing is gear limited to around 170. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah, top speed is important to me too. If I'm lucky enough get unclogged from traffic, I can maybe go 65mph on the local highway (which is the speed limit). And if I want to risk a ticket, I can push 79mph when roads are empty (80mph = reckless driving in my state). During auto-cross, which is the only legal off-road / track driving in the area, I might be able to push 50-60mph depending on the course.

Seriously, the S2K is a great car for curvy roads, and it will certainly go fast in a straight line, but if top speed is your primary concern, there are far better choices than a small convertible roadster! This is not a car I would choose for high speed runs.
