Default Favorite Shift

What is your favorite shift (upshift or downshift)? Alternatively, what's your least favorite shift? I personally love 3rd to 4th: it's always smooth, you can hit 8K (without being TOO over the speed limit), and it feels great to just pull that lever straight back! Can't say I'm a big fan of the 5th to 6th shift: it's pretty mundane and usually for the sake of saving some gas.

favorite upshift: getting 1st-->2nd-->3rd perfect, right at the limiter each time

favorite downshift: 4th-->3rd, its an easier downshift to rev match then 3rd-->2nd usually

and least favorite would be 1-2 and 5-6.

In LHD cars I love 3rd-4th and there are no shifts I don't really care for. In RHD cars anything to deal with 2nd sucks, shifting up or down. With RHD I think 3rd-4th is may favorite.

Due to the spacing of the gears in the car all the shifts feel the same to me. They're very evenly spaced compared to my old car which had a 5spd and gears which got progressively closer.

My favourite is 6Th to 3Rd, as it usually means there is a gap in the oncoming traffic, on the country back roads where I do most of my driving, & I can now pass a slower vehicle I'm following.

Push it into neutral, & the stick slips into the 3/4 plane. A blip of throttle as you push it into 3Rd, & a firm push on the throttle as you let the clutch back in.

In just a few seconds you are back into 6Th, as you pull in, in front of the slower car, coasting as you slow back to the speed limit.

There really is nothing like a responsive car, & a nice gearbox.

2 -> 3 going up, at the limiter

4 -> 3 coming down, like a previous poster mentioned it easy to rev match.
