Fender Lips....
I rolled the lips of my old 01 AP1 but i was reluctant to do them on my 2008 S2000. I was seriously against it Simply because i felt as though i'd devalue the car by doing so. I've been to a few S2000 meets over the years and i've come across some really bad fender roll jobs, wavy quarter panels just to fit horrible wheels that don't have business being on an S2000 to begin with. After careful consideration i had my fenders rolled by a reputable S2000 roller and he did a marvelous job, you wouldn't notice they were rolled unless you held your hand underneath the fenders. I had planned on going with higher offset wheels but i hear reports of them "POSSIBLY" catching the fender therefore ruining them anyway....
In the end I rolled them because i plan on tracking the car, running 255 tires and running a BBK. Upon research it was near impossible to accomplish what i was after.
The new cars today don't have Fender Lips.... the Scion FRS/BRZ also doesn't have a fender lip, european cars for as long as i can remember don't have fender lips.... curious as to why honda decided to leave it there, it simply just gets in the way.
Anybody?

It's where the inner and outer metal meet and they're pinch welded, it's more work after to fold that metal over so that's why some left it. Newer Honda's come pre-rolled like the FRS. The front doesn't have this since it's just one piece of metal.
Rolling fenders has no effect on the structure of the car, however when people cut or grind away that metal you are reducing some of the strength (might be minimal, but it's still something) of the car and you run the risk of having it rust if not treated properly. That's why fitting over fenders or fender flares scares me.

Thanks for the heads up. I was always curious about the lups. The other drawback of the higher offsets is that they are all unattractive in my opinion.
I just picked up a solid aggressive setup that should work very well at the track and the street that also offers the look im going for.
