fikse wheels
Here's some anecdotal evidence of Fikse vs. HRE...
My friend at Northstar Motorsports, John Ruther (who happens to be the Head Driving Intructor for the Chicago PCA and races a 996 GT3) had seen a set of HREs crack on the center sections with very low street miles and I think one track event. He has yet to see that happen on the new set of Fikse's that owner bought to replace them with and he thinks they're stronger than the HRE's. I saw John use BBS GT2 single bolt wheels on his race car, and he doesn't sell wheels, so there's no conflict of interest there. I've picked up one of those GT2 rims- they are SO light for such a strong rim!
For what it's worth, I use Mugen wheels on the S2000, and Complete Custom Wheel three piece, fully forged and shotpeened, wheels on the other car. I recommend the CCW wheels to anyone who is looking for a bulletproof wheel at a reasonable cost- $425 per 17x9 wheel custom made to my specifications.

the +48mm is what I remember being told previously, when we weren't talking "seriously". After seeing your post, I called the guy at the wheel/tire place and he apparently did not confirm the offsets, just the availability and price. I mentioned your post and he assured me that FIKSE GUARANTEES THE FIT, and not to worry.
What I will do is send them an email this afternoon, then call them myself when I get home this afternoon. I will have your post handy and talk to them about the fitment.
thanks for the info.

Here's THE likely scenario:
You get Fikse wheels shipped to you, mounted and balanced, put on car and they ain't right.
Pull wheels back off (who knows what wheels you're going to put back on now that you've returned the DAZZ, read: S2000 on blocks) and ship them back to Fikse.
After three weeks and many phone calls you finally get the wheels shipped back to you and maybe save yourself the heartache of mounting all the tires or at least don't balance them this time and you
rocketman,
I love the Fikse wheels (RT's)...I would have got them if I could afford them.
RPM9K,
Did your friend get the 18x7.5 (+40) in front and rear? I didn't see a high offset application for our cars on the Ray's site:
