That's a good question. I took very good care of the wheels and followed directions provided by Fiske. Maybe, I should have brought my car in the house at night LOL. Now, the wheels are badly rusted. The wheels are less than 1.8 years old. However, prior to the winter storm I was forced to use wenol once every two week or after every rain due to poor rim finish. My wheels looked like yours for about a year. Over time I noticed the finish fading. I wish I knew what I did wrong or if I did anything wrong. I don't see any S2000 with stock wheels rusting, and I'm wondering if these wheels just belong in a show room. I believe Fiske will repair my wheels for $2800.00, that's 700.00 * 4, No Thanks! Is it possible that MD or VA used chemicals that would cause this damage to a Fiske wheel? Whatever the case, I don't want wheels that are so sensitive.

Tony and others.
Any time you have a polished metal, it will require upkeep to keep it from oxidizing. A way to avoid this is to either have it painted or anodized, although those surface require special care, too. Certainly chemicals and deicing agents could contribute to the surface degradation you described. A good preventative step, albeit time consuming up front, is to prep the surface. A good cleaning, followed by a few coats of a HIGH quality wax or sealant like Zainos will make it harder for contaminants to stick to the finish. An ounce of prevention will help quite a bit here.
Hope this helps.

What an oldie.

At first sight, I thought they were ugly, but the K29s have grown on me a great deal. They would look fantastic on an S2000, especially with the reverse lip.

Here's a perfect example of how to do up a 993right-eously:

Classy. Sporty. Holla.
