I need to re-paint my bumper this week, and I was wondering what the car would look like without the fake vents on the front bumper. Besides, removing them could even help the car's aerodynamics.

What do you guys think?

Maybe some of you can photoshop it too?? Feel free to use the following pics to work with.

Check out costal metals. They offer replacement metal grills for the side vents. I think that opening them up with the metal vents would be MUCH better than painting them.

Sorry I think some of you misunderstood me. I meant to fill in the vents and make the bumper smooth in those areas leaving the only opening the lower front grille.

I think that would look alright, personaly i think the coastal metals grills look the best. I would try it though, that with the amuse lip would look real cool.

Welp, had some spare time so I thought I would photoshop the pic of your car without the faux vents.

Not enough of a difference to justify spending the extra $$ on labor to fill in those vents imo. Might also have problems with cracking and so on.

You can wait for the MY04 front bumper, perhaps those fake air vents will be no more.

In the Best Motoring video where an S2000 "Prototype" was tested on the old Nurburgring, you will find your answer. In the last 15 minutes of the video.

Also, if you do a search on Kazaa for "S2000 Really Flying", you may find some of the same footage.

Color is Silverstone with Gunmetal tape.
