wisconsins2k: that would be great! link me when you finish? That should be a sticky.

Do you get a lot of freeway droning with your invidia exhaust? Im going to be commuting quite a bit and would hate for it to drone like my old turbo integra with greddy evo, or my 180sx with apexi n1..
The drone on the invidia is quite noticeable.

however, it only drones when accelerating or decelerating. in other words, if you're on a flat level freeway or section of freeway, and you are maintaining a set speed or even have cruise control on, it doesn't drone at all.

however, you could simply put the silencers in when you make your long commutes. the exhaust is barely louder than stock with them in. the silencers take 2 minutes to put in.

Is there some kind of mod people are doing to their headlights or something? I notice that silver one above does not have the amber corners but when i do a search, i cannot find anything about headlight mods..

Mods do not void warranties. They negate claims. If you have a supercharger and you blow your engine your claim will probably be denied. If your remote central locking fails it will not.

I have clear corners from Ricks Accessories (www.ricks2k.com). Great place to buy, excellent service, quick turn-around. Anyway, the painting was done when I replaced the reflectors. Search is kinda funky at times, but there are many threads about it out there.

Cool thanks for the link!

I spoke to the dealer about the 100kmi warranty and he said that anything I do to the car violates the warranty in full. Whether it be rims, intake, exhaust, etc, if they see something has been done to the car regardless of what, they will throw my warranty out the window. (unless of course I have them install the part, depending on the part). But that does seem kind of tacky, because what if I have say... a vtec controller and my clutch goes. They probably wouldnt search every hidden crevice of my car for the controller.

Oh well, its a honda, right? Wont have toooo many problems, and im sure I can fix those that do arise.

Search for warranty as well. There are lots of discussions on this. My headlights are cleared, I bought the clear sidemarkers, tinted the windows, and have dropped the car. HondaCare has yet to deny anything including rear diff, CV cups, and the window regulator.

the dealer is exaggerating. The dealer has no power to void your warranty; only a Honda rep can do that.

Regardless, if you did the final drive gear they would never know. it would not show up on any computer scan at all. it would look identical to stock. EVEN IF YOUR DIFF BROKE, they probably would not know unless they looked at the ring and pinion and compared it (they won't).

Also, don't have a rice-boy shop do the gears. You'll want someone experienced with transmissions and differentials to do the work. The rice-shop is fine for a header or intake install, but when it comes to things that demand tight tolerances, rice-boy stores are not the place to go.

the dealer is not necessarily exaggerating. if he has a hondacare extended service plan (warranty) they can void any and all warranty work if you even have so much as a CF hood or exhaust tips on the car.

Get the 4.57's! Absolutely great mod. I finally got mine in last week and what should happen on the very first day but I'm stopped at a red light before a freeway ramp and a Boxster S pulls up on the right and, rolling, nails it just as the light turns green. Long story short he got me in first, I was pulling on him in second and passing him in third. Very satisfying. (Can't wait for a 350Z.) BTW I'm otherwise stock in the drive train except for Mugen header & exhaust and a Comptech high-flow air filter.

ouch! little rough on brand new gears! you should break them in properly, otherwise they may get loud(er) whine over time or not mesh properly.
