Finally bought ans S2000!!!
I finally purchased one yesterday! It's a MY2000 silver w/black, 23,000 miles on the odometer. I dont really see anything wrong with it, except that it rained on the day I bought it
, and it seems to have a small leak in the weather stripping along the door line. Do any of you guys have the same problem. Just to name a few other things: The front tires look pretty new, but the rear tires are a totally different brand and are low on tread. Isn;t that a little strange? Anyway I love the car, couldn't have gotten a better deal on it, just wondering if there are any problems that I should be looking out for for that year! Thanks for your help!

I think that there are a few TSB's that should be performed, however I don't know the specifics. Also, it is not uncommon for the back tires to wear faster than the fronts. I suspect that whoever owned the car first simply replaced the back ones when they were worn out.
Congrats on the car. Did you end up getting it at a dealership?

I bought it at a dealership in Rock Hill, on Cherry road. (Donald Craig) Right next door to Burns Chevrolet.
24,000 is what I paid. I traided a Vw Passat. I have another problem maybe you can help me out, The stupid dealership wrote a number on the back plastic window (used to write on windows with) having trouble getting it off. Don't want to damage the plastic as the manual says not to put any harsh chemicals on it. what could I use to get this lettering off , and keep the window nice and clear?

oh boy. I hope that it wasn't something like a wax pencil or something like that.
I would think that your best bet would be to try one of the reputable plastic window cleaners.
Worse case I would take it back to the dealership or run it to the local Honda dealership in Rock Hill and ask them. I think that is Honda Cars of Rock Hill.

It can be dangerous to drive a car with radically different rubber front vs rear. I'd consider at least two new Honda OEM SO-2 tires for the rear. You might just want to get front and rear at the same time. You'll be safer and you'll definitely get more "new car" performance that way. Tirerack seems to be the best bet on getting the right tires at the right price. If you buy the Bridgestone Potenza SO-2 tires, be sure you get Honda OEM tires that say 225/55/16 W89 for the front and 205/50/16 W92 for the rear.
