Rick, thanks so much for posting the pics. I forwarded them to my SO and she called me and says that I have to buy the hardtop And I thought I was going to have a hard time convincing her that it was worth the money.

So, can we get some sort of hardtop group buy going or what? If not, where's the cheapest place to get it from? H&A has it for $2790 plus ship plus install - is that the best deal we can get?

Has anybody installed the Mugen Hardtop? Any pictures? It's got a double bubble design to it. The August C&D had an article about the Mugen S2000 which had the hardtop. The CF top is lighter than the Honda top. The FG top lists for $2600, but needs to be painted.

winter - there was a group buy on the hardtop, don't know if it's still going on. Click here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=16521

'smyroad - the mugen top is nice, but you would still have that massive blind spot there too since the rear window does not wrap around the sides like the factory one. Just a thought.

Dang, that removable hardtop sure makes the car look British! It looks great in black. Great photos.

I've had removable hardtops before (Stag, for example). I, like many others, rigged up straps so it could be stored hanging from the garage ceiling. Install and removal was always a two person job due to the size and the thought of dropping it.

Personally, I wouldn't not want one unless I had a very defined need (i.e., year round driver in a northern climate; or secuity; etc.), otherwise -- it's just something that gets in the way, costs at lot, and usually is on when you want it off and vise versa.
