Default Finally got my S, BUT

After some debating, I finally picked up my S today..
03 Silverstone, 35.5k miles (only 500 miles to go till warranty runs out)
I will post pix later, but it has some parts missing. At the used car dealer, I could only notice the real obvious stuff, like the spark plug cover.
The followings are missing..

Notice it's missing the heatshield, spark plug cover, and that little air intake thing (OEM one)

In this one, it's missing the plugs for the windshield washer hose to secure it..

I just don't know why it's missing these parts.
Do you suspect the previous owner may have supercharged it?
Thanks....

he may have just had a header and a snorkel type intake. I dont know about the cover though, maybe he had different coil packs that didnt fit under the cover? or maybe he lost the thing, who knows. Missing windshield washer hose plug thing could mean he had a cf hood.

Looks like a modded S2k that was "returned to stock" right before selling. Buy a warranty.

I'm speculating that he had CF hood and turbo... that would fit nicely in the spaces left by changing the OEM airbox, removing heat shield... Look for shiny screws and evidence of recent hose manipulation.

Wow, you bought that from the dealer like that? I don't know if I would of bought it like that, you can already tell that the previous owner had that thing modded pretty good.

I'm sure it runs good, and I wish you luck on finding the replacement parts. You should be able to find most of those things here on the FS forum.

looks like he had a spoon type snorkel, cf hood, new spark plug cover then sold the aftermarket cover and lost the oem, but i don't know why the heat shield is missing.

there was probably an aftermarket sound system. if the sound sytem was taken out make sure to take out the power/ground wire running through your car. it looks like its still connected to the battery so at least take the fuse out... could be a fire hazard. and make sure you clean out that engine bay! you gotta keep your ranch clean!
