Default Finally: The new book about the Honda S2000

Finally, after "little" delay, the new book of the Honda S2000 is out. The first 50 copies are in the store. Oh wait, only 49 now.

Hi everyone. I represent Veloce Publishing, so for anyone with questions about Brian Long's The Book of the Honda S2000, fire away! I'm afraid I'm not an S2K encyclopaedia / expert, but I do have the book here, should you'd like to know if it covers a specific … uh … thing.

If anyone is unsure about this book, I can tell you that;
  1. It's definitely real, although it's been a few years coming;
  2. it's up to Brian Long's usual exceptional standard;
  3. it has been so popular that we blew through all our local stock - TWICE - in less than 48 hours, and;
  4. we're getting more stock ASAP, and this should be with us by the end of this week – hopefully …
Orders made on our website between Christmas and New Year, are being processed as I type; most will be sent today, with the rest tomorrow. (Even we needed a break this Christmas!)

We expected the book to be popular, but we had no idea it would go so quickly. As for only 50 copies being mentioned in the Store email, this is because we (okay, not me, admittedly) have to juggle our entire print run (a 1000 books in this case) to fulfil orders across all our sales channels – Amazon, Waterstones, indy bookshops, drop shippers, etc. (we're only a small company). Our HQ warehouse is limited in capacity, too, so initial numbersare kept small; this allows us to ensure we fulfil all our preorders, lets us process and ship orders quickly, and means we can hold more titles here (we have around 600 titles, not including digital editions). We usually add 30, 50 or maybe 100 copies to our site initially, depending on expected demand, and because our distributor warehouse is only a few miles away, we restock from them as this number depletes. Now, this is usually so seamless that new titles never sell out completely. This year, though, CV19 disruption, and a little Brexit confusion, has wreaked havoc with parts of our supply chain, both internationally and locally, and this book is one of those affected.

Sorry for the short window of opportunity to buy it when first released. We are all doing our utmost to get the orders posted, and the new stock here ASAP: as stated above, we are now expecting new stock at the end of this week – so do try and stick with us a little longer. If you can wait, we are still offering a 35% discount if you order direct from us (you'll have to enter the code at checkout – details of how, here : https://www.veloce.co.uk/customer-se...html#discounts ), so whilst you may have to wait a longer, you'll get an absolute bargain to make up for it. If you want to be the first to hear when it's back in stock at Veloce, you can also enter you email on the product page, and we'll ping you an email when it's available. The book should arrive in the US in February; if you can't wait 'til then, you can buy from our online store – and with your discount – and we'll ship it 'over the pond,' as they say.

Looking forward to hearing what you make of it.

And the race is one: Who gets his Copy first? I hope the Mailman has VTEC mode in this case.

Going from Europe to Europe vs. Europe to US - I like your chances, Matchbox! (VTEC doesn't work in the water or air!)

Haha. I was on the email list for an alert when it became available again. I ordered it immediately and then came here to post the same thing, but should have guessed someone had already done it!
Looking forward to this great book.
