Default Finally pushed my s2k!!!

Well I 've had my S for 6 months now and it's definitely broke in, but I never really had an opportunity to gun it. Interesting weather here in the northern suburbs of Chicago and finding the perfect road which there really is no perfect road being this is pothole heaven probably contributed to this long delay. Boy they aren't lying about good things come to those who wait. The wait was well worth it!! I gunned my S to 125 mph!! Like nothing! When I realized my speed I was around 7500-8000 rpms in sixth gear!!! I know the S has balls, but to feel it was great. Probably doesn't sound right comming from a female but just being honest!! I better becareful for it can become addicting!! I'd like to keep my low insurance rate. So what is the top speed you guys have managed to achieve?

120 is my top speed in the s2k. I have actually gone faster in my 98 Prelude(130). In the Prelude, you don't really feel the speed since it's so quiet, whereas in the s2k you feel and hear the speed.

I probably got a little too excited or should I say cautious and pressed on the brake if that makes any sense ?

At that speed I'm sure you didn't exactly have an extra hand and time to take notes, but are you sure you weren't in 5th gear?

Sixth gear at that RPM range is much faster.

I've gone about 125 in my old Integra, but for some reason I don't like going too fast in my S2. I think I'm paranoid about getting another speeding ticket.

My maximum legal speed was about 120 on a race track in 5th. I don't think you were pushing it if you were in 6th.

This car gets a lot faster... When I first got my Stook broke in it wouldn't budge off of 153, if I remember correctly, but now it'll do a solid 161, although I don't recommend it. It's not because of stability problems, the car feels rock solid, it's because it takes FOREVER to get there. It seems to take only seconds to get to 130, but hours to get to 150, and a true eternity to get beyond, the car just has nothing left. As a matter of fact, 160 isn't even redline, but no matter, my car will not budge off of 161 regardless of the redline. The next time I do this I'm going to try to post some 0-140...150...and 160 times and you'll see what I mean. I'm also in beer negotiations with a local cop to radar me at different speeds to see how fast I'm really going.
