Talked to tirerack who recommended them as replacement tires and for being much better in the rain. I went ahead and ordered 205/55WR/16 for front and 225/50WR/16 for rear due to their being close in treadwidth as the OEM S02s. They should be delivered in a few days. I will post to let all know how they perform, although the closest to a track I drive on is the local interstate on ramp.

Congratulations! I have never seen someone agonize so long over a tire purchase.

Cedelena

Thats a fact. Funny thing was when I bought the S2K was no hesitation, bought same day saw it. Go figure. Must be Ahlzheimers causing the squirrel factor.

legalrep,

The S03's are good...they will be much better in the rain against hydroplaning.

Any difference in the S03's and the S02 pole positions?

Legal, how much did you pay for the front, and rear S03 tires? I probably have to replace my rear in about a month.

Just curious, would it be OK if I leave my OEM S02 in the front (since they still have 50% tread left) and install the new S03s in the rear? Any side effects? Thanx

Socal, I agree...Eversince we did that 180 by Comptech, I am sort of nervous pushing it around the curve.

I'm far from a tire expert- but I think it would be fine. Theoretically, the OEMs in front are "stickier" (softer), than the rears, I would think that that might make it slightly easier to have the rear end slide out due to oversteer.
