The way I read it, by August of this year they had sold 139 NSXs versus 194 sold last year by August. Still, declining numbers. Most of the percent change figures versus last year are negative. Dissappointing.

Roadster sales of all types are down this year. For example, Z4 sales are about half of last year despite incentives most of the year approaching $7,500. Boxter sales are down to a trickle- people know the 2005s will be changed so are avoiding the 2004s. Miata and MR2 are behind last year, too.

I think the move to the Suzuka, JP plant (from Takanezawa) was probably also a factor this year. My understanding is that several (many??) orders were postponed for a fairly long period while the transition took place.

Well this sucks - you used to be able to go to www.hondanews.com and get all that information. Now you need an account and password to download it. Stupid, stupid webmasters.

There have been a couple of threads on this. Here is what has been posted earlier:

USA sales by 'calendar year':

'99 = 3,400 (as model year 2000)

'00 = 6,797

'01 = 9,682

'02 = 9,684

'03 = 7,888 (sales drop awaiting new design)
