Finding good roads to drive
This is a very good web site for finding good roads to drive. I know a lot of them are dirt but it also has good paved roads for the S.

Roads world wide are on this site and we use it whenever we go on a trip, either in our S or Jeep. We used it this month when we went up to Canada and its a must when we go to Colorado.
If you have a site that you use to find good roads please post it.

I use a Tom Tom gps app on my iphone. One feature allows you to select road type. One of the options is Winding Roads - three different degrees are offered. It works really well and I have discovered many terrific routes around Vermont and New Hampshire using this feature. If you run into dirt you just turn around and it will recalculate a new route.
Yes indeed. My favorite for California is Pashnit. It is a subscription site but well worth it Rod. Used them for a trip along the Lost Coast this summer and another trip over the Coastal Range to Point Arena.
Here is a site for OR.

BTW, they have a great 12V air pump as well as a great tire plugger for flats. I carry both in the spare tire compartment. Still carry the spare but the tire plugger makes a "normal" flat (nail) easy to fix on the car. You can get them elsewhere but Pashnit runs some good sales.

I, too, carry the Pashnit Cycle Pump, tire gauge that fits in-line with the pump and tire, and the Tire Plugger gun set. All three pieces are relatively small enough to carry on a motorcycle, and small enough to pack into the S without taking much space. The only time these tools wouldn't have helped was when a rear tire shredded while on the in-town freeway. Luckily, I made it to an inside shoulder and was able to get the front tire moved to the rear and the donut spare on the front.
Back on topic, I like MotorcycleRoads.US - Great Motorcycle Roads in the US as one source for fun roads.
And while Arizona has some pretty fine roads for the S, I do miss living in California, with all of its natural beauty, both north and south.
