Default finnally, off to pick up new s2k...

after being delayed for over a week, (not bad considering all that has happened in the world), I'm off to the dealer to pick up my new s2000 (silver/black)! I have thoroughly enjoyed s2ki.com for the past month - literally drooling on the keyboard - educating myself about the car. Most of you have been a tremendous help in answering questions, merely by my searching the threads. Now that my day has come, I registered with s2ki, wanted to thank everyone for thier insights, and, with library checklist in sweaty hand, and more knowledge than the salesman (and maybe even the service manager!), I'm off!

...actually the "significant other" (AKA wife) was birthday shopping for me, stopped at a honda dealer to ask directions to the porsche dealer, when they asked her if she had seen the s2K. She was sold. Shortly there after she spilled the beans - would have been a suprise - and I wouldn't have been in suspense for the past month!

ok, lets see if I can put this into words...YAAAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOOOO! Can't believe I bought a car without a test drive - and for msrp! (Funny, they had tacked on 4 grand for "market adjustment" after we had agreed on msrp. We won that one... is that a "kill?") Actually, after having lived through all of the members stories, I felt like I had taken a very long test drive! Thanks for all the advice, etc. One quick note - anyone tried "swiffers" to dust your car? They also seem to polish the windshield to an incredible shine. Any probs with this quick clean? Haven't found a CA duster yet... anyway...YAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOOOO! Wish it was morning ('cause I haven't even driven with the top down yet!)

Swiffers would be fine for your interior, but I wouldn't touch the exterior with it. Wait and get the CA car duster. Don't leave home with out it!
