First day on the road
I finally took delivery of my yellow Stook on Thursday, just the way I wanted it: PDI without dealer clean-up, the top never having been lowered and all the miscellaneous paperwork still in the car or on the windshield. On Saturday, I spent all day cleaning and waxing the car. Today, I installed all the Muz mats (floor and deck) and hit the road for the first time
A police car followed me for about 20 minutes today as I tooled around town. Never pulled me over but I'm sure that he would have had he noticed my missing front plate.
During the time he followed me I noticed several people fail to signal before turning and a few others run through red lights! He just stayed about 5 car lengths behind me and didn't bother the real scofflaws. I finally pulled into a gas & sip thinking he would follow me in. I was going to buy him a donut for doing such a great job.

As I drove my SILVER S2K on a 150 mile country drive today, the Valentine was mostly silent. I did pass a new bright red Z06 pulled over by the law...
I don't know if the statistics back it up, but I had WAY more police attention in my Red Miata then my Silver S2K.

My last car was a silver CRX, and I got away with a LOT of speeding. In fact, four years without a ticket. Thats too long to be luck.
I think they just don't draw the eye the way yellow or red does.

I've also heard that silver/grey cars are more likely to be hit by someone who "didn't see them".
Fair trade-off?
