First Honda???
I was just wondering, am I the only one who never considered Honda before the S2000? The only other Honda/Acura option for me was the NSX, which I never liked a much as it competition, the 993/996. FWD no matter how "tuned" does not compare with RWD, so that eliminated everything else Honda. I did however own a 94' CBR F2. Who else out there is a new Honda customer over the S2000?
1st honda was my wifes 00' Odyssey... #2 was the S2K! Had to let my wife get her car 1st...
well after reading the others... remembered a few more, a late 60's honda 175 twin, the 1st year 125 Elsinor(dirtbike), and a 7.5hp sailboat motor!!

The S2000 is my first Honda. Since I took my drivers license I always had BMWs and one Mercedes. For me BMW makes some of the best cars on the market, very well build, very reliable, active and passive very safe and with a driving feel that puts Mercedes in shame ( a car ideal if you are in your 60s ).
I currently own a 5 series BMW and I was looking for a second car when I considerd the Boxter S. I took a drive test and love it - great six engine. It was then that I visit an Honda dealer, motivated by the look of the S2000 and they insisted on a test drive. I accepted it and after 2 hours of pure pleasure and fun I bought my S2000.
Same kind of performances of the Boxter S but with much more adrenaline and fun - pure sheer driving. Also, due to tax policies in my coutry the S2000 costs about $39.000USD against $74.000 of the Porche - as you may see, no contest here.
I also keep an old (89) Ford Sierra Cosworth - great performance car but not in the league of the S2000.
Best regards,
