first impressions and breaking in...long post
ok...i finally get to type up what others have been experiencing for the past years...
This is the adventure of "gyrofx" and "bobatimez" with the new S.
I bought my S2k on Christmas eve and it was pouring rain...through out most of Christmas day as well. Bobatimez came over and we sat in the new S, admiring all it's minute details.
Interior:
I think MY04 have many improvements over previous models. Even though i've driven the older ones, the brand new instrustment clustter works very well for me. Eveything is compact and "cock-pit" like as many have explained. The Shifter is very smooth and only gets smoother... The Stereo panel is a very nice addition, with similar design to one of the keys (which is also bad-ass). The cup-holder area is one of it's best features. The mechanism is sooo smooth, just push the little button and the plate slides back with ease. The seats are really nice, especially the red/black leather, which I personally like more than just black (it has a very sporty feel to it). The seats are nice and it's nice to sit in them (The ride is amazingly comfortable compared to previous years--for me, the ride comfort is a plus...imo). The stereo actually isn't too bad, sounding quite good for stock. The only problem for me is that the length between the handle on the arm-rests and the end of the arm-rests are too short. There's almost no elbow room. Other than that, I like the new interior as is
Exterior:
The Exterior is a beautifully crafted piece of metal...imo. Some may like the older look, but i like this newer, more sleek, meaner looking front. The lines flow nicely with the body. The "shark" front bumper grew on me after seeing it a couple of times before purchasing the vehicle. The back bumper is nicely done with contoured shaping for the exhausts. The exhausts are way better than before, the asethcis of it that is. It's nice and big and oval. They give the car this powerful image when looked upon from behind. The head lights are great designs as well. I like the all clear look and no diffusers. The only thing i wish is to get rid of the orange reflector and clear out the other orange piece. The wheels are better than before

Great read!!!
Wish I was down in SoCal too..I love the PCH...but there are a few decent places to find twisties up here in NorCal...although I am still waiting to break in the car. I got mine on the 23rd and I have driven it more in these first few days than ANY other car I have owned. It begs to be driven.
I definitely enjoyed your write up..now post some of those 4am pics.

although i broke my first 01 from 2pm to 4am lol i was happy sorry. The break in should include stop and go traffic and working the gears up and down within the 5k rpm limits.
enjoy it, you will not regret buying this car.
and my car does not beg me to be driven, its more like it puts a gun to my head and said hop on this is a stick drive lol
