Default First "New Topic" post, too bad its negative...

Well, I've had my MY03 for about 2 months now without a single gripe - its met my expectations and then some...until today. So I'm coming home from work and notice that while I'm going straight the wheel seems to be tilted a 1/16 turn to the left. I let go and it slowly drifts to the right (I'm doing about 65-70 mph). She has about 2600 miles on her and is 100% stock. Its not like "Oh man I'm about to hit that car!!" drifting but its definitely noticeable. I did readjust my pressure on all 4 tires back to 33psi a few days ago - maybe a contributor? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. This site is AWESOME btw!

Even a brand new S2000 should be treated to a high tech 4 wheel alignment.

Could be the road itself. Try to find a long stretch of straight level road...accelerate and then take your hands off the wheel. Slowly hit the brake and see which way the car pulls. If your alignment is perfect the car should remain straight.

Almost all roads have a crown, higher in the middle, some more than others. That might be the problem.

I was on a rural country road the other day and experienced the same thing but once I got to the freeway it disappered. Funny I never noticed this before in any of my other cars, driving the same route ;so it appears the S2000 is more sensitive road irregularties and what I've driven in the past. This is simply what I've conclued in my personal case.

Road crowning is a big problem here in Arizona. With our monsoon season the roads are really angled to get the water off of them. I took my SUV in to the dealership five times and had two alignments done (the second at their cost) before we realized it was the road itself and nothing I could do. There is a big difference at speeds over 40mph in the right lane of a five lane road (suicide center is about the only normal lane)..

alignment and the road curvature... if you suspect uneven tirewear, swap sides and see if you drift the other way.
