well the day finally came.. after 7months of waiting my stook arrived. I must say this is my first car buying experience.. but also the best one i could imagine having. I couldn't have asked for a better sales person.. he was the only person that drove my car.. to put it in the shop for preping and to go get gas.. i got the car w/ 10 miles on it. and i trust they were non-vtec seeing how freaked out he was when i took him for a spin and hit 5k rpm. he knew the rules about not passing 6k he has a mercedes kompressor himself. don't worry i've been keeping it under 6k.. in fact i don't think i've passed 5k rpm.. i put 300miles on my new girl tonight.. and took plenty of pics along the way.

I highly recommend this dealerhsip.. jack o' diamonds honda.. in the little town of tyler texas.. and Jimmy Melton is the guy that gave me the deal on the car.. after 3 months of hunting.. i found this place and they agreed to let me have it for MSRP and gave me a great deal on my trade in.

i was literally in shock tonight.. driving back.. my friend came along.. he keeps saying 'dude were freakin crusing in a s2000' i said at least 10 times.. i'm a freakin 22yr old w/ a s2000.. holy sheet.' btw, bought it myself w/ my own $.. not a gift from the folks.. that would of been nice though. everyone at the dealerships jaws dropped as i jumped in my new ride.

hehe.. some lady came up to look at my car.. mr. melton had it hidden back of the shop not out on the floor so people wouldn't be grooping my girl. as i pulled up in it.. i had the windows rolled down going for the first spin w/ jimmy and the lady and what i guess was her son.. both of which i doubt could fit in the car said 'well i came too look at that' 'the s2000' (in a rather snooty pissed off whats that kid doing in the car kinda way) jimmy rolled up the window and says.. too bad lady.. heh.

the car definately gets attention.. got tons of looks.. cruised a strip downtown and had some drunk kids celebrating st. patty's day start video taping me as i rolled past.. ended up stopped right in front of them.. and this drunk girl screamed at me and my friend 'i wanna seee your nipples'.. wtf? then she said 'all guys should let there things hang out on saint patricks day.. wooo'.. hehe.. entertainment everywhere... got alot of 'damns' 'and WHOA shit's' had a cop flag me to pull over.. i did.. it was for not having my front license plate on.. then he realized i just bought the car from the plates 'whewww..' well i don't plan on putting it on anyway.

i just traded in a '95 civic.. and trust me.. below 5k the stook could smoke a civic. literally the acceleration in sixth gear from 3k to 5k rpm.. no shifting.

is faster then when i use to downshift and nail it in the civic from 60 to 80mph at which point the civic would start getting shaking.

Hey you are lucky, hey wait a minute mine gets here on apr 25th, and i am 20 yrs old, no flaming just recognizing how lucky we both are, and yes also with my own money. I think the feeling is much better when you accomplish it by yourself, so i feel your enthusiasm, but remember i beleive that you do have to gradually break the engine in at all rpms, (correct me if i am wrong) on my 2000 Typer i was told to break it in gradually per hundred miles till i reach 6k rpms then when i was at 1200miles to vtec more till finally at 4k my car became a monster!!! So enjoy i will be in your shoes only that it would be at 20 so i will take an extra pair of pants.(Might need to change them along the way hehehe)

 

Hey man, I too traded my 00 black type r in on my silver and red stooky =). I'm 19 soon to be 20. I'm payin for it myself as well. The people at the dealership couldn't believe it. Before I even got outta there I had this cute little sales girl hittin on me It was sweet.

Congrats Dude! Just got mine Fri. night! Had 5.7mi. on it and now is over 200mi.!
