Default First Oil Change?

Hi, I was just wondering when we are supposed to do the first oil change. I just bought a brand new 2005, and the dealer said 6000 miles, but that seemed like quite a while, cuz on my RSX they said 3000 miles. I was just wondering when most people did their first oil change. I appreciate the help.

You should read your owner's manual. It gives specific details on what schedule you should be following based on how you drive the car. There are 2 schedules.

What did the manual "say" for your RSX first oil change?
I'm assuming that came with a manual too.

6000 miles should be fine.

I thought it was a wise idea to change the oil as soon as the break-in period is over? True or False?
