First photos of installed clear diffusers
Sorry, just want to be clear on this. So the piece you bent was the clips that attach the diffuser to the housing? Not the main diffuser itself. I've cleared 3 sets of housing already and just want to know what if any problems I will be running into.
You won't have any problems. We put a bit more curvature into one of the diffusers so it would fit over the reflector more snugly and James just pushed the clips a bit with his fingers to make them fit snugly over the hooks. I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill
James & Mike (with an assist from Perry and Moonpie!) also helped me do the clear light install. There are actually 4 bulbs that needed to be swapped out: 2 turn signals, 2 driving lights. The lenses of all 4 bulbs are blue and give off a surreal tint when looked at head-on. They blink white, however, which isn't legal to the best of my knowledge. I tried to see if there were any lights with blue tine that glow amber bit couldn't find any (I use PIAA Hyper Whites). A few more things:
1) They are INCREDIBLY bright - you really light up interstate signage.
2) I try not to have them on anywhere near cops - they are an attention getter.
3) Turn signals are what their name implies, driving lights are on when the headlights/parking lights are on.
4) They look absolutely incredible and are very subtle - some people consider them rice - which I really can't understand - it isn't like they're neon windshield washer units.
I do NOT have the clear diffuser; it wasn't available then. I am interested to see what the differences are. Lucklily these guys live like 5 minutes away! Also, despite what others have said, you really need to know what you are doing. I don't believe this operation should be performed casually.

Hey that looks pretty good! At first I thought I'd like the JDM/Euro diffusers better, but after seeing them, I really like the clear US ones! Good job, everyone!
Just curious, how long did it take you to do the whole installation using the oven-bake method?
