Absolutely fell in love.

I'm looking around to buy my first s2000 and finally got a chance to test drive one today for the first time. Loved everything about the car. I didn't want to take it back!
The thing really was what everyone on this forum talks it up to be. Can't wait until I can finally purchase one.
lol I love reading about "first test drives" because I instantly remember the moment I sat in my S for the very first time- unforgettable for every owner.

I tested my first one when I was on a trip to New Jersey. I had nothing to do so I scheduled test drives for an AP1 and a Golf R32. After the S I knew that was the car I wanted. I let my friend drive it too and that was supposed to be his next car too (he actually bought a 350Z).
I never went to see the R32 afterward...

I remember the first time I took out a 2 for a test drive. It was last sept when I got to test drive a 05 BB s2k from a private seller. I fell in love with the car the first time I saw it at the dealership backk in 00. But after actualy driving it, I was set on getting myself one. Bought a 02 Suzuka Blue this past April with only 38000 km on it. Love it very much, the wife loves the car just as much as I do, considering she wasnt very happy at first. My son who is only 7 yrs old keeps asking if it going to be his when he gets older, lol.

One of the 1st I drove was heavily modded... Lowered, shocks, springs, veilside kit, stereo, exhaust, intake blah blah blah... it even had the gay neon light on the undercarriage...

Loved the car, hate how each time there was a pebble in the road it was "slow down slow down, here comes a bump"...

so i knew i wanted an S2K that night, just wanted a purely stock car that would remain stock. 6 years later, its still stock minus an aftermarket passender disable switch.

Loved the car when I first saw, but I'll admit that I am one of those drivers who had a different reaction when they first drove it. I wasn't expecting the experience I got - small cabin and loud engine. It was weird as that I was almost disappointed. But I decided to come back and give it a try another time. Top down, beautiful day about 5 months later - gave it a second try. That's when I really fell in love.

Bought the S that day and haven't looked back since.

Quite honestly those are 2 other things i love about the car. I loved the small cabin/cockpit race car type feeling with the loud engine. I will be daily driving it, so maybe it will get a little old. On the other hand though i probably don't drive more than 6-7k miles a year.

Can't wait to experience it with the top down though.

My first drive was in a new AP2 at the local dealer. I was generally looking for cars with my daughter (probably not this one, though) - the "assistant" drove it out of the showroom and, unlike the rest of the cars on the lot, their policy was that one of the sales staff had to go along for any test drives. I took the first drive, my daughter took the second, and the sales assistant thanked us because he had never had a ride in an S2k before. Needless to say, we both now have our own S2ks.
